Overview
The UK's leading STEM competition for young scientists, engineers, and technologists aged 11–18. Participants submit projects addressing real-world challenges through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
What's on offer
Students submit STEM projects individually or in teams. Finalists showcase their work at The Big Bang Fair and compete for national titles such as UK Young Scientist, UK Young Engineer, and UK Young Technologist of the Year. Top award winners receive trophies and £1,000 prize money.
Requirements
Open to young people aged 11–18 in UK state-funded education, home education, or community groups. Projects may be completed independently or in teams and can cover any STEM topic.
